This full-body, lightweight rain suit with hood is made with waterproof fabric and zippers and is fully seam sealed. The ripstop nylon body and reinforced knees and bottom all have a waterproof rating of 3,800mm. A waterproof zipper between the legs makes for easy diaper changes and bathroom breaks. Stretchy cuffs feature thumbholes, while elasticized ankles make for a secure fit. The vegan friendly and packable rain suit is fully seam sealed with reflective piping on the raglan seals.
Why we love it: There is so much to love about this durable rain suit. We’ve had a lot of experience with similar goods and have found that compared with other brands, the Stonz rain suit is more durable, more comfortable, and just better at keeping kids dry. Also, since staying together is one of the most important jobs of a forest school teacher (and parent), we love the high visibility of the super bright colors. The zipper between the legs allows for stress-free bathroom breaks, which is a huge boon.
How we use it: Playing in rain and puddles is one of the great joys of childhood, but sitting in wet clothes is far from comfortable. That’s where the Stonz rain suit comes in—whether sitting in a puddle or rolling in mud, these full-body suits with hood keep children dryer than anything else we’ve encountered. For younger kids in particular, a rain suit fits their bodies and stays on much better than separates like rain pants and jacket. We rely on these to keep kids dry year round, and especially in fall, winter, and spring. They are roomy enough that you can layer snow pants and jackets underneath, and they do a great job blocking the wind. When not in use they roll up easily to fit in even a small backpack.
